3C Principles

Clarity. Cohesion. Consistency.

In today’s world of heightened social awareness and sustainable business practices, gender equality sits near the top of the agenda.

And while there a myriad of approaches that companies can apply to be the most effective and have the largest impact, there is one factor that determines success from the outset.

TRUST.

Without trust, there will be limited employee engagement, higher resistance to change and a delay in being able to create a gender-balanced company.

According to the Edelman Trust Barometer, CEOs are being looked to more than ever to show through words and actions that they can lead their company through crises, but that they explicitly take a stand on social justice issues.

Our Managing Director, Leanne Mair developed the 3C Principles which guide all the services we deliver. While making change, we believe in building trust and that can be done using our guiding principles.

Clarity

The clarity in purpose and message leaves no doubt when it comes to intention. How companies want to change, how are they committed to change and how they plan to implement them.

Cohesion

Irrespective of whether it is an internal memo, a press release, a 3-year strategy outlook, there is cohesion in word and deed. This is one of the strongest pieces in building trust, otherwise, there is a danger that the work is performative and purpose washing.

Consistency

Consistency is the hardest one to achieve. There is usually a level of skepticism when companies start on the path of becoming more gender-balanced. The journey to achieve this has to be intrinsic to business practice to avoid it looking like a trend.
